The American Icon, the childhood dream of every boy, the want that's been burning inside me for years, finally realized.  On May 3, 2006 I took possession of this 1 of 584 1999 Nassau Blue C5 Coupes.  After a very short search beginning in late April with the realization that I was being promoted soon and that my wife and I were in the perfect position to purchase a Corvette, I scratched my itch and found the car of my dreams.  I'll never look back either.  This car has captivated me like none other, and the community of enthusiasts involved with this icon is nothing short of amazing.  I now know what all the hype is about.

The reawakening.  One year and nine days after popping the motor, the new setup lives completely.  I was SHOCKED when Joe Donovan of Performance by Joe in St. Louis told me what the car made.  A whopping 760 RWHP 761 RWTQ in a stock sounding, stock driving, ego bruising sleeper.  Am I happy??  Hell yes I am.  Still on the APS turbo's, but with a 377 forged shortblock, heads/cam, and 14# of boost this time.

The Twin Turbo is FINALLY complete.  Final numbers of 500 RWHP and 521 RWTQ were on 8# of boost.  Remember this is a minimally modded car and NOT an LS6 motor, thus the substantially lower numbers.  I LOVE the smooth linear powerband and low peak.  This will make for a wonderfully fun car to drive.  Thanks to Don Kinder A.K.A. Slowhawk for the wonderful 2 Bar SD Tune.

Bolt on's completed, above is the before and after tuning results.  I don't like the dip at 5200 RPM, and don't like one aspect of how the tune was accomplished, but I'm pretty satisfied.  I was hoping to see 350 RWHP, but we can't have it all now, can we?  Mod list was LG Pro headers, Corsa Indy exhaust, no cats, LS6 intake manifold, Callaway Honker intake, 160* T-Stat, NGK TR55 plugs, Magnacore wires.

Baseline dyno for the car done at Philly Dyno Works.  Car is 100% stock mechanically down to the plugs, wires, O2's, and air filter.  Rear wheels weigh approx 8lb more each than the stockers.  Not too shabby, room for improvement though.
